Alexandra Wright…
Served as President of the Greater Atlanta Schutzhund Association from 1999-2001, was an AKC certified evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen Program, hosting the first annual American Kennel Club’s Responsible Dog Ownership Day, and certified 13 dogs with Canine Good Citizen Awards. She established the foundation training to assist law enforcement officials in using a German Shepherd Dog to make arrests and seize narcotics. Named Czar, this dog went on to become a nationally certified police dog with letters of commendation from the Coffee County, Georgia Sheriff’s Department.
A requested 2003 sponsor of the Off-Leash Dog Area at Piedmont Park, Alexandra was also invited as an expert guest speaker at Piedmont Park in 2004 on the topics of behavioral problems and aggression. In 2014-2016 Alexandra volunteered for a non-profit organization training service dogs for people with disabilities and has been requested to speak in seminars regarding the ADA laws surrounding service animals. In 2018 and 2019, Alexandra was invited to speak as an expert canine behaviorist on several topics including children and dog safety, responsible dog ownership, and service dogs for the disabled. She offers group obedience classes, private instruction, board training, and service dog training.
Alexandra has raised German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. In 2009, Alexandra was voted, “Best Dog Trainer in Atlanta,” by the well-respected publication, Atlanta Magazine.
Alexandra’s German Shepherd, Rocco, came in 1st place at the United Schutzhund Clubs of America’s SE Regional Conformation Championship for the 9 month male class, and rated G1 at the Working Dog Association’s SE Regional Conformation Championship for 12 month males.
